Collaboration with Edward Sexton

In 2013, Sandra entered into a joint collaboration with the late Savile Row, Master Tailor to rockstars, Edward Sexton.

Four nostalgic Scottish pure wool tartan coats designed by Sandra, were cut, sculpted and crafted into striking silhouettes, and haute in every detail. Italian silk printed sleeve linings, hand made buttonholes, exquisite Italian silk linings adding a touch of novelty and even the whimsy.

Each unique coat, when complete, received a further layer of hand embellishment.

The red Modern Maclean of Duart coat, in pure wool tartan by Lochcarron of Scotland, seen here, is hand appliquéd , with Italian wool guipure.

The Modern Macbeth tartan is in the house signature trenchcoat style, with feature fringing, and later given a similar allover treatment with appliqué of black Italian wool guipure

Seen here, is work in progress at Edward Sexton’s atelier, where he discusses the look and fit, with his Scottish tailor.

LochNess pure wool tartan double breasted flared short coat, has been further hand appliquéd with black flocked velvet polka dots.

Exquisitely lined with crushed raspberry Italian silk satin and silk printed sleeve linings. Invisible stud front fastenings and horn buttoned sleeves. hand stitched buttonholes.

The Loch Ness pure wool tartan asymmetrical coat has fringe detail. with Italian leather kilt strap side fastenings. Black/red glace velvet sleeves and back. The wool surface has been hand appliquéd in motifs cut from French embroidered tulle.
